How Many eSIMs Can phone Use?How Many eSIMs Can phone Use?

Devices compatible with eSIMs can store multiple eSIMs, but the exact number varies depending on the device model. Below is the eSIM support for major devices:

  1. iPhone Devices
  • You can store 5 to 10 eSIMs on an iPhone, and two can be activated simultaneously on dual-SIM dual-standby devices, such as the iPhone 13 and newer models.
  • Note: iPhones in certain regions, like Mainland China, do not support eSIM.

2.Android Devices

  • Samsung, Google Pixel, Huawei, and other devices: Most support storing 5 to 7 eSIMs, but typically only one eSIM can be activated at a time.
  • Google Pixel 7 and newer models: If supported by your carrier, you can activate two eSIMs at once.

3.Dual-SIM Dual-Standby (DSDA) Devices

These devices allow you to activate two eSIMs simultaneously, or one nano-SIM and one eSIM. Supported devices include the iPhone 13 series, Galaxy S24, Google Pixel 7, and newer models.

4.Dual-SIM Dual-Standby (DSDS) Devices

These devices support one nano-SIM and one eSIM, but only one eSIM can be activated at a time. This includes the iPhone 12 series and earlier models (e.g., iPhone 11, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, etc.).

How to check if your eSIM is installed on Phone? How to check if your eSIM is installed on Phone?

You can easily check if your eSIM is activated by following the steps below, depending on your device's Operating System.

For iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Scroll down and tap on Cellular or Mobile Data.
  3. Look under the SIMs section to see if your eSIM is listed.

For Android:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Scroll down and select Network & Internet or Connections, depending on your device.
  3. Tap on SIM cards or Dual SIM & eSIM.
  4. Check if your eSIM is listed as Connected or Active.

These simple steps will help you confirm whether your eSIM is properly installed and activated on your device.

How long does it take for an eSIM to be installed on an Phone ?How long does it take for an eSIM to be installed on an Phone ?

The installation time for an eSIM may vary depending on your phone model and network conditions. Some devices support dual eSIMs, while others support one physical

Based on our tests under normal network conditions, the installation typically takes about 90 seconds. However, to account for any variability or potential network issues, it’s safe to expect a range of 1 to 5 minutes for the eSIM to be fully installed and activated.

Should I Install My eSIM Before My Trip?Should I Install My eSIM Before My Trip?

Planning to use an eSIM for data during your trip? That’s fantastic! You’ll love staying connected without worrying about roaming fees.

Since a stable Wi-Fi (or data) connection is required to complete the eSIM installation process, we recommend installing the eSIM on your device 1-2 days before your trip. This ensures it’s correctly installed and avoids any potential connection issues. However, it’s important not to activate your eSIM data plan until you reach your destination, or just before, to avoid wasting valuable data plan time.

You must be in the country or region where your data plan is valid in order to connect to the network. (So, if you're still at home, don’t try to activate your vacation data plan because you won’t be able to connect to those networks yet.)

Activating Your eSIM Data Plan doesn’t require a Wi-Fi or data connection. Once you’ve checked your device settings, you can direct your device to use the eSIM for mobile data. In fact, it’s best to turn off Wi-Fi to ensure the eSIM is working properly.

Remember, once your data plan is activated, the countdown to the plan’s expiration begins. So, wait until you arrive at your destination and are ready to use the eSIM before activation.

We hope you have a fantastic trip! If you need any assistance, feel free to contact us.

Activate Your eSIM

The eSIM activation policy will tell you when its validity period begins. There are two types of eSIM activation policies:

  1. Activation when connected to a supported network.
Most eSIMs will activate once you turn on the eSIM line and connect to a supported network in your destination. After connection, your validity period will start, and you can begin using eSIM data.
  2. Activation upon installation.
Some eSIMs activate immediately after installation, even if you haven’t left your home. For eSIMs with immediate activation, we recommend installing them shortly before your trip to maximize the use of your data.
eSIM Functionality and Issues
My data's turned on, but it's not working? My data's turned on, but it's not working?

A. Confirm Basic Settings

  1. Are you in the correct country or region?
Eiotclub unlimited eSIM data packages are only valid in the specified countries or regions. For example, if you're using a U.S. eSIM, you must be in the U.S. to use it. Ensure that you're in the service area supported by your eSIM.
  2. Check device compatibility
Confirm that your device supports eSIM. If your device does not support eSIM, it could cause connection issues. You can verify your device using the Device Compatibility Check Tool.
  3. Ensure the eSIM data package is activated
Check that the eSIM has been correctly activated and set as the primary mobile data source on your device.
  4. Confirm the eSIM is set to use mobile data
Make sure that the eSIM is set as the primary source for mobile data. You can do this in the mobile data settings on your phone.
  5. Enable data roaming
Ensure "Data Roaming" is enabled to allow the eSIM to connect to the network. Disable data roaming for your primary SIM card to avoid additional charges.
  6. Restart your device
A simple restart can often solve many device issues, including those related to eSIM connectivity. If other methods don't work, restarting your device can usually restore the connection between your device and the eSIM.
  7. Turn off/on the eSIM
Another method to resolve eSIM issues is to turn off and then turn on the eSIM line. This can refresh your connection and resolve minor glitches.
  8. Reset the device's data connection
Check if your device is in airplane mode. If you see a small airplane icon at the top of the screen, it means your device is in airplane mode, which prevents any network connection. Turn off airplane mode and wait a few minutes to see if your device can connect to the eSIM data plan.
Turning airplane mode on and off can be a highly effective method to resolve eSIM connection issues.
This simple action forces your device to disconnect from all networks (cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), which helps resolve minor software glitches preventing the eSIM from functioning. Using airplane mode to reset your device's connection can also resolve issues related to Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
  9. Check APN settings
Ensure that the APN settings are correct. You can find the instructions here: APN Settings Guide.

B. Further Troubleshooting

  1. Manually select the network
Sometimes, your device may not automatically connect to the best available network, causing the eSIM to malfunction. In this case, you can manually select the network to see if it helps.
  2. Reset data connection
Turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off. This forces your device to reconnect to the network.

C. Contact Customer Service

If none of the above steps resolves the issue, please contact Eiotclub customer service for further assistance.

Can I use my SIM card and Eiotclubunlimited eSIM at the same time? Can I use my SIM card and Eiotclubunlimited eSIM at the same time?

Yes, most Android devices with dual SIM support allow you to use a physical SIM card alongside an eSIM. You can assign one for calls and the other for data.

eSIM Data Packages and Expiration
When does my eSIM data package expire? When does my eSIM data package expire?

The expiration of your eSIM data plan depends on the validity period or data consumption. Your eSIM data plan will remain active for the duration of the validity period, as long as you haven’t used up all the data before then. The validity period begins when the eSIM is activated. For most eSIMs, this happens when the eSIM connects to a supported network in your destination. However, for some eSIMs, activation may occur immediately after installation, regardless of location.

It’s important to note that your data plan will begin once you arrive at your destination and activate your eSIM. In the case of Eiotclub eSIMs, they will only start working and fully activate once you arrive in the destination country.

How many times can I use my eSIM?How many times can I use my eSIM?

Your eSIM is designed for reuse, allowing you to top it up easily through our app or website before it expires. This means you can continue enjoying your data plan at your destination without needing to purchase a new eSIM, as long as it's still valid.

Please note, an eSIM can only be activated on one device at a time. If you remove the eSIM from your device, it might be permanently disabled, making it unusable. However, Eiotclub eSIMs offer more flexibility — you can reinstall and use the same eSIM 2-3 times (depending on the carrier). Simply scan the QR code to reactivate your eSIM.

Please note, eSIMs are limited to a single device. If you need to switch between devices, we recommend purchasing a physical eSIM card, which allows easy transfer between devices.

How to Recover Your QR CodeHow to Recover Your QR Code

If you’ve lost your eSIM QR code, there are three ways to recover it: check your email, contact customer service through the Eiotclub.com support chat, or log into your Eiotclub account via the app.

  3. Contact Eiotclub 24/7 Customer Service: Reach out to Eiotclub’s customer service through the support window on the website.
