How to use SIM card in a Reolink Camera

SIM on Cameras

The SIM card will automatically activate once it is inserted into your camera. Please make sure the SIM card is inserted in the correct direction. The APN information is as follows based on your SIM card ICCID:

 

Note: The bicsapn setting for ICCID starting with 893204xxx is available in all regions, so users can select it based on their location.

How to use SIM card in a Reolink Camera:

1. The SIM card will automatically activate once it is inserted into your Reolink camera. Please make sure the SIM card is inserted in the correct direction.

2. If the SIM does not work, please set up the APN for your Reolink camera to try again. How to Import APN information to Reolink 4G Cameras:

• Use a card reader to connect the SD card to your computer. Create a txt file named "my_custom_apn" on your computer. Please note the file name my_custom_apn.txt cannot be changed. Or you may contact support to provide you with the txt file format.

• The file content is as below and leave username and password blank:

 

Note:apn=please enter the corresponding APN of your sim

username=
password=

Username and password do not need to be entered.

3. Upload the "my_custom_apn.txt" to the root directory of your Micro SD card. Please make sure your SD card is 16GB or 32GB in FAT 32 format.

4.Power off the camera, then install the SD card and power on the camera. Please wait for about 20 seconds and press the reset button with a needle to factory reset the camera.

5.Once reset, you will see the status red LED light flash 3 times during the factory reset process. The camera will update the APN information automatically, then reboot. You will see a solid blue LED light for 3 seconds. After that, a solid red LED will light up. You will then hear the voice saying "APN setting has been imported successfully. Network connection succeeded" if the APN is successfully imported.

How to Import APN information to Reolink 4G Cameras:

1. Use a card reader to connect the SD card to your computer. Create a txt file named "my_custom_apn" on your computer. Please note the file name my_custom_apn.txt cannot be changed. Or you may contact support to provide you with the txt file format.
